Instead we got other stuff like Angry Birds Blue and Angry Birds MakerSpace - Hooray, more movie theme! And let's change Piggy Tales from its traditional animation style to have the movie theme as well! Or how about a live-action plush series?. Angry Birds Stella, pretty much the same. Where's Angry Birds Toons? We haven't seen a thing of it since 2016. Third: When Rovio doesn't outright ruin these games, they just abandon them and leave them to rot.Nowadays however, Rovio replaced that with a dumb star system where access to the next levels must be bought with stars received from previous levels, which is just terribly dumb. You beat the pigs, won the level, moved to the next. Initially, when normal Angry Birds and Seasons dropped, it was simple. Second: Rovio ruins the pre-movie games that were the shine of the franchise.
We additionally get way too many boring match-3 games that no one likes. The series got flooded with terrible one-shots like Action, Evolution, Holiday, Football, Dice etc.
First of all: Why is the movie theme literally everywhere now? Ever since the movie dropped, we seriously haven't had a single goddang Angry Birds game that doesn't have the movie theme.
I'll do a quick tl dr of why I think Rovio screwed this series up pretty badly. You'll probably catch the core of this message pretty dang fast: Just what has Angry Birds become?!
